City Parking "Camperstop Kalimera"

The Camperstop with Ambience and..... "with a difference"

Parking Rules

City Parking 'Camperstop Kalimera' is a private parking lot with special infrastructure for motorhomes, which has been inspected and approved by the Ministry of Transport and Traffic. The relevant state laws and regulations apply here, as everywhere.

We inform you openly and honestly in advance about what is legally possible with us and what is not. This way, you can spend the night with us legally, under fair and transparent conditions, peacefully and undisturbed.

The regulations by law in detail are:

The 'Camperstop' is located within a residential area. To protect the residents, access to any commercial parking lot in residential areas for customer vehicles over 3.5 tons total weight is generally not permitted by law.

Free "camping" outside licensed campsites is nationwide prohibited by law in Greece. An awning and a mounted rooftop tent (not a pop-up roof) are considered tents, and their use is only permitted on campsites. We are not a campsite or a campsite alternative.

"Camping-like behavior" such as setting up cabinets, sun loungers or laying out blankets/rugs is also not allowed... as is the case in all parking lots in Greece. Having a table and chairs outside is no problem.

Greece is a country with great respect for its guests, and Lygourio is a hospitable, Christian Orthodox town with many churches and deeply religious people. For reasons of mutual respect, wearing swimwear or having bare upper bodies as well as beach behavior/sunbeds - bathing is prohibited. We are a city parking  and not a substitute for a beach.

The use of open flames (wood stove, charcoal grill, fire bowls) is strictly prohibited.

Dogs are very welcome, but please keep them on a leash at all times. We do this with our dog as well. There are people who are afraid of dogs, and no one should feel scared at our campsite.
