Winter Stays

A longer winter stay is no problem with us, and there are many reasons for this:

The Climate:
Winter here in Lygourio is quite pleasant. The climate here is "Greek," predominantly dry, a mix of bright sunshine and cloudy days with a few rainy days. Frost is very rare, perhaps a few days in February, and then only in the early morning for 2-3 hours until the sun rises. Then it's over again. This means that even motorhomes that aren't "winterized" are no problem here in winter.

Thanks to the special, dry healing climate, which was used 2,000 years ago for the world-famous Asklepion healing center, a stay here in winter is consistently pleasant.

Our Motorhome Infrastructure:
Our facilities are "winter-ready." We have dry, clean pitches where you won't be standing in water, leaves, wet grass clippings, or mud in the morning hours or after a rainstorm.

We have 16 A electrical connections, allowing you to heat your home and make coffee at the same time without the system "blowing up" in your face. Electricity is billed individually at local rates and can be switched on and off as you prefer. If you don't need electricity, you pay nothing; if you need more, you pay accordingly. You're in control; we don't have any opaque, overpriced electricity bills.

In our sanitary facilities, there's always hot water for showering and washing dishes, regardless of whether the sun isn't shining or several guests have showered in a row.
And last but not least, we have a cozy, rain- and wind-protected lounge where you can enjoy the winter sun or relax on rainy days.
All in all, a longer winter stay is easily possible with us.

The town of Lygourio:
Lygourio is a spotlessly clean, safe, and pretty town that has been spared from mass tourism and has preserved its original character. Here, you'll still find the real Greece...friendly, open-minded people who welcome your visit, numerous churches, cultural attractions, and sights, cozy taverns and cafes where you won't be alone, and shops with "fair prices."

Lygourio offers everything you need for a longer stay...supermarkets, shops, bakeries, butchers, greengrocers, doctors, pharmacies, mechanics, etc., and once a week, a small, "authentic Greek" farmers' market.

And best of all...Lygourio is "not closed in winter," like many tourist resorts, and can easily be reached in 5 minutes on foot. And should you ever have a bigger problem, the larger town of Nafplio is 25 minutes away by car.

The area around Lygourio:
There's a lot to see around Lygourio, especially if you're a bit mobile, for example, on day trips by scooter or e-bike. Argolis has many cultural and natural attractions nearby, and the sea is a 15-minute drive away. We've compiled some of the information on our information board; take a look; it never gets boring.
